Hello and welcome! My name is Erika Forni García. I am a Swiss-German born freelance translator based in the United Kingdom. I hold the Diploma in Translation from the Institute of Linguists (English to German) and am a member of the Institute of Linguists.

My background

• I'm a native German and Spanish speaker, having been born and raised in the German part of Switzerland by a Swiss-German father and a Spanish mother.

• My 3 year business and commerce studies (“kaufmännische Lehre”) and subsequent 7 years work in various industries in Switzerland have provided a thorough understanding in the area of business and commerce.

• Over 8 years work in international banking and finance in the UK have given me an in-depth knowledge of the financial sector and its terminology in English, German and Spanish.

• I also possess a good knowledge of HTML and web design through recent work experience as Website/Internet Marketing Manager, as well as strong PowerPoint and Word skills.

• I have spent 24 years in the German part of Switzerland, 2 in Spain and the last 11 years in the UK.
